The foamed PVC plate (Forex) is a closed-cell, bright white hard foam plate that has an almost smooth surface and is characterised by its very light weight .

The 3 mm thick sheet is suitable for temporary use at events, for example for advertising signs or as an accessory for an extraordinary decoration. The sheets are easy to process, and cutting them to size is simple – sawing, milling, drilling, cutting, shaping – almost anything is possible with PVC rigid foam sheets.

The plate printing in almost photorealistic quality is characterised by extremely rich colours and a silk-matt surface finish . The Forex plate is printed on one side, but double-sided printing is also possible on request. A sign made of PVC hard foam is weather-resistant, the sign printing is UV-stable and suitable for outdoor use. Is the hard foam plate to be used indoors at events? Order printed Forex signs – this is how it works

Put the Forex signs in the shopping basket and complete the order.
After a successful purchase, you will receive an order confirmation for your products and a link to our data sheet, which contains important information regarding the preparation and transmission of print data.
You will then receive a second e-mail with an order confirmation and a personalised link for uploading your print files.
The order confirmation also contains the expected delivery time (approx. 5 to 6 working days).
Note on print data checking: If you have booked our basic print data check, we will automatically make minor corrections for you. If the resolution or similar is not correct, we will actively contact you.
If you have not booked the print data check, we cannot guarantee the quality of your prints.
Optionally, you can book our personal premium graphics service. This will be charged separately based on the time involved (€44.50 for each half hour or part thereof). To do so, please leave us a short note in the order notes at the end of the order.
The Forex signs will be sent to you after production.

Exception: advance payment. In this case, we will not start production of your printed matter until we have received your payment. Accordingly, the delivery date depends on when we receive your payment

Information on processing PVC hard foam sheets (Forex)

color="green"Forex panels can be processed very easily, quickly and in a variety of ways. The only problem with this material is excessive heat! Heat, which can be generated when processing the sheets or when the sheets are exposed to very high UV radiation in summer, can cause the sheets to deform (bend upwards). If the sheets are not handled properly, even thin sheets can break!

PVC hard foam sign: use and print quality

Forex plates made of PVC hard foam are flexible and very light in weight. Nevertheless, the plates are relatively stable. The hard foam plate provides high-quality plate printing – almost photo-realistic motifs as well as easily legible fonts and logos. The surface of the PVC plate is slightly rough, printed forex offers a silk-matt finish .

P rinted Forex plates are versatile and can be used for advertising signs, information signs, as toppers or shelf covers, as well as for construction signs. This material is suitable for short-term outdoor use and medium-term indoor use. Forex signs are UV-stable and weatherproof for up to two years. The printed plates can be processed quickly and easily and therefore offer a wealth of creative possibilities for use in stage construction and for impressive decoration at events, as well as for the construction of exhibition stands or decoration at the point of sale.

Cutting rigid PVC foam sheets

The panels can be easily cut into shape using a jigsaw, a band saw or a circular saw. It is also possible to cut thin panels using a high-quality cutter (carpet cutter). As a precaution, the hard foam plates should be cut in several steps; a single strong cut does not produce very clean results. The plates can also be punched.. When punching, please ensure that this is done at temperatures above 20°C. Otherwise, the PVC hard foam can splinter at the edges. Forex plates can be very easily processed using a water jet cutter. Cutting with a laser cutter is unsuitable for hard foam plates, as the high temperatures generated by the laser can cause the material to deform.

Fixing Forex panels with adhesive tape, drilling and stapling:

PVC hard foam sheets can be easily attached with adhesive tape or stapled in thin sheets . Drilling holes is easily possible with a standard spiral drill. Tip for professionals: Optimal results are achieved with a point angle of approx. 100° and a twist angle of 30°. You do not need to use liquid cooling with Forex, but be aware that excessive heat can cause the plate to deform.

CNC and milling hard foam plates

Forex signs are flexible and can be processed with a CNC machine if they can be securely clamped and the device has a plastic-compatible processing option. Hard foam plates should not be sanded or polished.

Bending forex plates

For special decorations, such as covering counters, Layher scaffolding or similar structures, the flexible Forex plates can also be bent into shape when exposed to heat. However, this application should only be carried out by specialised personnel who often work with this material. By the way: punching is also possible. The foamed plate is very soft in contrast to a hard aluminium composite plate. This makes it easy to press and punch with form stamps or pointed objects.

Accessories for attaching the signs

Whether with adhesive tape, self-adhesive velcro tape or with a stapler – our shop also offers you the necessary accessories for attaching your advertising signs. If you drill holes in the signs, they can be attached using cable ties or screws.
