The extra flat cable protector Cableguard - Cablecover has a cable channel measuring 38x12 mm – it is used in various areas at events (backstage, FOH, production office), construction sites and in offices that are mainly frequented by people. As a cable protector, it can be laid flexibly on almost any floor. The cable protector, which is 765 mm long, 133 mm wide and only 22 mm high, prevents tripping accidents and contributes to both safety and accessibility.

Cable protector flat – for laying cables and pipes safely
The particularly low and lightweight (1.1 kg) polyurethane cable protector increases safety in offices, warehouses, at events or on construction sites: The 38x12 mm cable duct protects thin cables and wires laid on the floor indoors or outdoors from damage caused by manual loads – and at the same time reduces the risk of passers-by tripping over these obstacles. The cable protector is not conductive and is safe to walk on. The extra-low floor channel with non-slip top and bottom also helps you to make your event barrier-free.

Cable protectors: technical properties
- The cable protector is made of high-quality vulcanised hard polyurethane and is CE marked. This material is resistant to oil, acids, petrol, water and UV radiation.
- The product is non-conductive and is equipped with a dielectric strength of max. 110 kV in accordance with the standards 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive, formerly 2006/95/EC or 73/23/EEC).
- In addition, the surface-mounted cable duct is certified according to DIN 4102 B2 for normally flammable building materials and IEC 60529 (standard for degrees of protection provided by enclosures).
- The cable protectors comply with RoHS (EU Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
- The surface-mounted floor trunking complies with the DIN 51130 standard, group R11 for determining the anti-slip properties of floor coverings.
- The requirements of ISO 62 / ASTM D570 (determination of water absorption in plastics) are also met, thus protecting the floor channel from swelling due to moisture.

Where can I use the flat cable protector?
The floor channel is primarily intended for use in the following areas:
- backstage, sanitary and catering areas at events, concerts and festivals
- in corporate or production offices
- warehouses and storage halls with forklift traffic
- around the stage, e.g. FOH tower, stage entrance, spectator area, etc.
- in areas with little vehicle traffic

Due to the relatively small contact area on the ground, the cable protector is not suitable for use in regular road traffic or in areas with regular vehicle traffic – of course it can be driven over briefly. However, the protectors can easily slip! The Cableguard Cablecover cable protector has a maximum axle load of 4.7t.

The Cableguard surface-mounted floor channel is suitable for laying on asphalt, concrete, grass, artificial grass carpet and a variety of other floor coverings – simply place it on the cables with the cable channel and they are protected from damage. The elements can be connected to each other in any length using the plugs located directly on them, allowing you to set up particularly long cable routing systems. The mobile bridge element can be laid flexibly and is easy to transport.
Caution: On uneven surfaces such as lawns or on particularly smooth floors, the cable protectors may have little grip due to their small contact area and can therefore slip easily. In this case, it is recommended to use wider cable protectors, such as the cable protector ranger from our shop.
On-floor trunking: cleaning and storage
You can easily clean the cable protectors with water – even with a high-pressure cleaner. The manufacturer advises storing the cable protectors dry and not on their sides to avoid deformation and to increase their lifespan.
