The 1-channel cable protector is a lightweight ( 2.5 kg) and quick- ly installable cable protection. The flat, one-piece cable ramp (channel size 3.2 x 22 x 77 cm, h x w x l) is simply placed on the floor over cables and wires . A simple yet secure plug connection (tongue and groove) allows additional cable protectors to be added. The Cablecover Event offers an internal cable channel with channel dimensions of 4.5 x 2.0 cm. The cable protector provides space for cables and wires up to a diameter of 20 mm.
Single-channel cable protectors are an inexpensive accessory for indoor and outdoor use and are particularly useful for preventing tripping accidents. Pedestrians and wheelchair users can cross the flat ramps safely thanks to their non-slip profile. As overrun protection, the cable protector can only be loaded up to 4.7 t per axle and should only be driven over slowly by cars and trucks . 1-channel cable protectors: technical properties
- The floor channel does not absorb water and is therefore protected from swelling. The plastic overrun protection thus meets the requirements of ISO 62 / ASTM D570 (determination of water absorption in plastic).
- The high-quality plastic used to make the ramps is vulcanised hard polyurethane. This material is resistant to oil, acids, petrol, water and UV radiation. Thanks to its high quality, the cable protector is CE marked.
- The overrun protection is equipped with a dielectric strength of max. 110 kV in accordance with the standards 2014/35/EU. The material is also non-conductive.
- The ramp complies with the EU directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).
- The cable duct complies with DIN 51130, group R11 for determining the anti-slip properties of floor coverings.

No accessories necessary – instructions for use
The manufacturer's instructions state that the cable protectors can be laid on concrete, asphalt, artificial grass carpet, grass and almost any other surface. To protect the cables and keep people safe, simply place the cable protector over the cables and connect the individual cable ducts with a plug connection (tongue and groove) to any length. The only thing to bear in mind is that the cables should not be too thick for the cable duct.
on uneven surfaces such as meadows, the 1-channel cable protectors offer little contact surface. The ramps can therefore slip more easily and do not offer quite as much security as wider models. Therefore, make sure that a cable protector like the Ranger or Yellow Jacket from our shop is better suited to your requirements.
Cleaning and storage of the cable ramp
Event cable protectors can be easily cleaned with water and, if heavily soiled, with a steam cleaner. For storage, we recommend that you do not place the cable protectors, but always store them horizontally in the warehouse to avoid unnecessary damage.
