GT 561 duct tape – an affordable tape for many applications
The inexpensive GT 561 adhesive tapes can be used anywhere. Thanks to their high temperature resistance and resistance to moisture and water, these duct tapes are suitable for a wide range of applications in the household and industry.
The duct tape is ideal for bundling and attaching cables, for mounting and fixing as an alternative to assembly adhesives, and for sealing and masking. Thanks to its high adhesive strength, the tape is also suitable for watertight repairs to defective (water) pipes and lines; it provides an immediate seal and reliable repairs. The adhesive tape is coated with an aggressively adhesive, non-corrosive adhesive, has a high initial tack and a high adhesive strength that increases over time. Therefore, we recommend the tape especially for permanent bonding; it can be removed without residue for a maximum of 24 hours.
The duct tape]is easy to tear by hand: it can be torn lengthwise and crosswise by hand, the crosswise tear is clean, but not quite as exact lengthwise.
Important information for proper adhesion with duct tape
For optimal adhesion of duct tape, an application temperature between +10°C and +45°C should be maintained. The adhesive strength of this duct tape increases over time, which means that the tape can be removed without leaving residue for a maximum of 24 hours. Particular care should be taken when gluing to sensitive surfaces such as natural stone, untreated wood, etc., as the duct tape can leave damage or discolouration after removal.
