The coloured adhesive cloth tape GT 571 is coated with a non-corrosive rubber adhesive and can be stuck even to difficult surfaces. Cheap adhesive cloth tapes, on the other hand, often cannot be removed without leaving residue, causing discolouration or other adhesive damage. Cheap tapes often bond with the adhesive surface (e.g. through plasticisers) by migrating into it and then leaving structural changes.

Adhesive tapes: storage and use
The adhesive surface of a cloth tape should not be touched by hand. Please only apply duct tape to a clean, dry and dust-free surface. Pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes only achieve their full adhesive strength with sufficient contact pressure. The GT 571 has an optimal application temperature of approx. +10° C to +45° C. It should be stored at normal humidity and a temperature of approx. +12° C to +25° C. It is best to leave the tape in its packaging until it is used. Direct UV radiation and temperature fluctuations should be avoided.

The smoking process removes moisture from the raw material, making it less susceptible to condensation and more stable when exposed to temperature fluctuations.
Removing cloth tape GT 571
GT 571 can be removed from almost any surface for up to 48 hours after application without leaving any adhesive residue. Ideally, you should slowly and evenly pull the adhesive tape away from the surface at a 90° angle. If any adhesive residue remains after prolonged contact, we recommend using our Tesa adhesive remover, orange cleaner or petroleum ether for cleaning.
