If you walk through a production area with your eyes open, you will see coloured adhesive tapes stuck to every corner. The GT 571 sets standards in terms of quality at a fair price. This professional adhesive tape has a very high adhesive strength, ensures a secure hold and can be stuck to almost any surface. It lies smoothly on straight surfaces, but also adapts perfectly to structured or uneven surfaces due to its fine-mesh fabric. This gaffa tape is 13% stretchable. The adhesive cloth tape can be used in a wide temperature range from -35°C to +80°C indoors and outdoors. Due to the wide range of colours available and the fact that it can be easily removed without leaving any residue – for example , from cables, floor coverings or other event accessories – this adhesive tape is frequently purchased by our customers for a wide range of applications (the olive-green and light-brown versions are also used as duct tape by the German military).

Of course], the adhesive cloth tape coloured Grip Tape GT 571 can also be torn by hand:. you get clean tear edges.

A high-quality adhesive allows even sensitive surfaces to be bonded

One of the features that characterises a high-quality adhesive tape is a gentle adhesive system. The coloured adhesive cloth tape GT 571 is coated with a non-corrosive rubber adhesive and can be stuck even to difficult surfaces. Cheap adhesive cloth tapes, on the other hand, often cannot be removed without leaving residue, causing discolouration or other adhesive damage. Cheap tapes often bond with the adhesive surface (e.g. through plasticisers) by migrating into it and then leaving structural changes.

Adhesive tapes: storage and use

The adhesive surface of a cloth tape should not be touched by hand. Please only apply duct tape to a clean, dry and dust-free surface. Pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes only achieve their full adhesive strength with sufficient contact pressure. The GT 571 has an optimal application temperature of approx. +10° C to +45° C. It should be stored at normal humidity and a temperature of approx. +12° C to +25° C. It is best to leave the tape in its packaging until it is used. Direct UV radiation and temperature fluctuations should be avoided.

like bacon, but it's not! The Grip GT 571 is coated with a natural rubber adhesive and may have a slight smoky odour due to the production process. The smoking process removes moisture from the raw material, making it less susceptible to condensation and more stable when exposed to temperature fluctuations.

Removing cloth tape GT 571

GT 571 can be removed from almost any surface for up to 48 hours after application without leaving any adhesive residue. Ideally, you should slowly and evenly pull the adhesive tape away from the surface at a 90° angle. If any adhesive residue remains after prolonged contact, we recommend using our Tesa adhesive remover, orange cleaner or petroleum ether for cleaning.
