The GT 551 construction tape is a cloth tape, which is suitable for bonding almost all surfaces. It adheres strongly to smooth surfaces, but also to rough and porous substrates. The elastic, extremely tear-resistant tape is very flexible on structured surfaces and adapts perfectly to unevenness. With its very high adhesive strength and immediate adhesion, it is therefore also suitable for sticking to stone, plaster, concrete and other masonry (masonry tape). The PE-coated adhesive cloth tape provides a reliable waterproof seal and is resistant to oils, paints and many other chemicals. The medium fabric structure of the tape also demonstrates good tear resistance in the transverse direction.
The construction tape, which is commonly used in industry, trade and construction for all short-term covering work on stone, plaster and other masonry, is also suitable for event requirements – as an inexpensive adhesive cloth tape in entry-level quality – for repairing, mounting and waterproof sealing and sealing, both indoors and outdoors. The construction tape GT 551 – also known as a plaster or bricklayer's tape – is a cloth tape with high adhesive strength, which is not only used in construction. For event needs, the construction tape is an inexpensive all-purpose tape that you can get from us in the colours grey, black and white. Thanks to its high degree of form-fitting adaptability, it is suitable for a wide range of applications, for example for bonding, sealing, repairing, bundling and waterproof sealing.
The tape, which measures 50 mm x 25 m, is PE-coated and therefore abrasion-resistant, waterproof and resistant to paints, oils and many chemicals. The construction tape adheres to uneven and porous surfaces – such as stone, plaster, concrete, masonry and much more. Please note: the low-priced construction tape is coated with a strong, aggressive adhesive and therefore cannot be removed without leaving a residue. Particular care should be taken with sensitive, painted surfaces!

GT 551 - Simple, low-priced cloth tape in entry-level quality
The construction tape GT 551 is an affordable adhesive tape with high adhesive strength, which adheres particularly well to porous surfaces. It is suitable for short-term masking, for example during painting or sandblasting work on plaster, concrete, stone or masonry. The aggressive adhesive forms a permanent bond with the surface after only a short time, depending on the surface bonded, which is why the construction tape often cannot be removed without leaving residue .

Note on gluing with the construction tape
Please note: The adhesive tape is coated with a synthetic rubber adhesive, it sticks strongly and cannot be removed without leaving residue. However, it is ideal for simple gluing/masking. The tape is temperature resistant up to 40°C, the recommended application temperature is 5°C to 35°C. At freezing or high temperatures, the quality and performance of the adhesive may change.
