The aluminium adhesive tape from Advance Tapes is an extremely heat-resistant adhesive tape,, which can be used in a wide range of temperatures – it can easily withstand short-term temperature peaks of up to 200°C. The matt black surface of the aluminium tape does not reflect light. When applied, AT 205 adhesive tape is flame-retardant, self-extinguishing and waterproof.

The black adhesive tape made of aluminium foil , also known in the industry as BlackWrap or BlackTak , was developed for the film, TV and theatre industries to block disruptive stray light and prevent unwanted light leakage. It is ideal for sealing heat-generating equipment such as spotlights, projectors, floodlights and other light sources. The aluminium tape is easy to unroll and the adhesive surfaces are protected by a release paper on the roll. It can be torn by hand and precise edges can be achieved with a cutter or scissors. The aluminium adhesive tape is conformable and has a pressure-sensitive adhesive. This means that the tape can be repositioned briefly during application. The final adhesive strength is high.

The optimum processing temperature is between 0°C and +40°C. In use, the adhesive tape impresses with an excellent temperature range from -20°C to +150°C, with temperature peaks of up to 200°C possible for short periods. Once bonded, the aluminium adhesive tape is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing.

The aluminium tape can be torn by hand, and precise, straight edges can be achieved with a cutter or scissors.

The aluminium tape is also known in the industry as "BlackWrap adhesive tape". It is generally used for masking equipment that generates a lot of heat and for sealing light leaks on spotlights, projectors and lighting systems. The black aluminium tape reliably prevents unwanted scattered light. The aluminium tape is also ideal for fixing coloured light films.

The adhesive on the heat-resistant adhesive tapes is pressure-sensitive, allowing the adhesive tape to be repositioned briefly during processing. The final adhesive strength is high.
