The cable protector Red Line is a high-quality overrun bridge for professional use. The cable protector protects exposed cables at events and construction sites from crushing, pulling and abrasion. The overrun protection has a maximum axle load of 9.1 t and can therefore also be used with heavy goods vehicles.

For clear cable routing, the Premium cable protector offers 5 cable ducts in widths between 3.2 and 3.9 cm. The black floor-mounted duct is 50 cm wide and 91 cm long. The cable protector has a red cover, which is attached with a hinge. This offers the advantage that no components are lost during transport in continuous operation. The light weight of only 11.7 kg and an integrated carrying handle help to save time when laying cables over long distances. The cable protector is non-slip in accordance with DIN 51130 . This means that the cable protectors are slip-resistant even when wet.

The Red Line cable protector made of halogen-free polyurethane is resistant to oil, acid and petrol. With a dielectric strength of 220 kV, cable protectors form a non-conductive barrier between people and power cables and protect cables from both mechanical and weather-related damage. Red Line cable protectors are fully compatible with the Yellow Jacket Classic cable protector.

Cable protector red line – high-quality material and certifications

The Red Line cable protector is oil, acid and petrol resistant and complies with the CE standard. In addition, the cable protector has a dielectric strength of up to 220 kV and is non-conductive in accordance with standard 2014/35/EU. All cable protectors comply with building material class B2 according to DIN 4102.

Red Line 5 cable protectors are virtually maintenance-free thanks to their high-quality material and clean workmanship . The cable duct complies with ISO 62 / ASTM D570 standards. This means that after lying in a water basin for 24 hours, the cable protector has absorbed less than 1% water. This virtually eliminates moisture-related deformation (swelling, etc.) of the cable ducts and connecting parts and guarantees long-term precision fit of the cable protectors.

Marking of cable protectors

The cover of the cable protector red line can be individually designed with lettering and logos on an area of 240 x 90 mm. Any motif and font is possible with a letter height of 5 mm or more. For an optimal typeface, we recommend choosing a letter size of more than 10 mm. The distance between two lines is 2 mm. Personalisation of the Red Line cable protector incurs an additional cost of €60 per engraving plate. For orders of 30 pieces or more, customisation of the cable protector isfree of charge.

The robust Red Line cable protector is designed for professional use in touring applications with a maximum load capacity of up to 9.1 tonnes per axle. Installation of the cable protector Red Line

Thanks to the modular design of Cableguard cable protection bridges, cable protection channels can be laid safely and securely in any length. By clicking the connecting elements into each other, further components can be connected. When laying the cable protector, care should be taken to ensure that there are no major unevenness or height differences between the individual cable protectors in outdoor areas. This is the only way to ensure that the connecting elements interlock properly.

Due to the manufacturing process, silicone residues may remain on the end product. These can be easily removed with a mixture of water and detergent.

Cable protector red line - safety instructions

The cable protector Red Line is trafficable at 20°C per axle up to 9.1 t. These specifications refer to the use of plastic cable protectors on level and solid surfaces. If the cable protector is laid on soft and sloping surfaces, the load capacity of the Red Line cable protector may be lower. In such cases, it is recommended to test the load capacity of each cable and hose overrun protection before use.

Cable protector red line – obtain approval

In general, the responsible authority should be contacted before using a cable protector. If the cable protector is used as overrun protection in public road traffic, the corresponding area must be marked with hazard warnings in accordance with official regulations. It may also be necessary to obtain additional official approvals before using cable protectors.

Cable protector Red Line easy handling

Cable protection is made much easier with our new Red Line cable protector. The weight of the plastic cable protectors has been reduced to 11.7 kg. Hollow spaces have been created on the underside of the Red Line cable protector and a carrying handle has been incorporated. The connecting elements of the Red Line cable protector have been significantly lengthened, which has resulted in greater stability of the connections between the individual cable protectors. This ensures even more precise laying of the cable protector systems, even over longer distances .

Cleaning and storing the cable protector Red Line

Due to the material properties, the floor duct is virtually maintenance-free. If dirty, the overrun protection can be cleaned with water (also with a steam jet). The Red Line cable protector complies with ISO 62 / ASTM D570 standards. After lying in a water basin for 24 hours, the cable duct absorbs less than 1% water.
Changes in shape are virtually impossible. Nevertheless, ensure that it is stored in a dry place. In addition, the cable protector should not be stored upright to avoid damaging the connecting elements.

Cable protector colours

On request, the cable duct is also available in other colours. Any colour from the RAL and Pantone colour spectrum can be selected. Only the combinations orange/black and yellow/black are not possible for advertising technology reasons.

Note on manufacturing

Silicone is used to release the cable protector red line from the mould during production. As a result, slight silicone residues may remain on the cable protector. However, these will quickly disappear when the cable protector red line is used for the first time.
