The applicable marking was adopted in February 2013 in ASR A1.3.

Good to know: If you have a fire extinguisher sign that complies with the "old" DIN 4844 standard, this sign is grandfathered. A combination of "old" and "new" safety signs should be avoided as this could lead to insurance problems in the event of a fire. Please check the applicable rules with your local authority in advance.
