Earplugs – Reliable hearing protection for every ear
Earplugs are an effective way of protecting your ears against noise. Earplugs made of foam and other materials offer optimum insulation and protect against earache caused by excessive noise, for example at concerts and motor sport events. Earplugs also protect your hearing in everyday life: they provide relief from snoring, traffic noise and loud neighbours. The required insulation value of earplugs depends on the noise exposure; in everyday life, earplugs with an SNR value of 35 dB are common.
Earplugs: insulation value and insulation effect
The market offers a wide range of hearing protection: from ear defenders and ear muffs to classic earplugs. The insulation value and the associated insulation effect vary depending on the earplugs. The decisive factor here is the SNR value (Single Number Rating), which is measured in decibels and indicates the amount of sound attenuation.
How is the SNR value calculated?
The insulation value that earplugs should have is calculated as follows: The noise protection limit is subtracted from the noise exposure (measured in decibels), resulting in the minimum SNR value that earplugs should have.
Please note: Only the correct hearing protection can prevent damage to the eardrum and other hearing damage!
Moldex earplugs 35 dB
Doctors have been warning about the health risks of noise for many years. To avoid earache, damage to the eardrum and possible noise-induced hearing loss, protect your ears with suitable hearing protection. Moldex Spark Plugs 7800 earplugs offer ideal hearing protection for high noise levels, e.g. at events or concerts, in industry or on construction sites . These earplugs are made of 100% PVC-free low-pressure foam and impress with their particularly soft wearing comfort and smooth surface. They can also be inserted into the ear canal without pressure. The earplugs have an SNR value of 35 decibels and therefore offer the best hearing protection for average noise levels.
Earplugs as hearing protection on construction sites, at events and for sleeping
Earplugs 35 db are popular in open-plan offices, on construction sites, in industry and for sleeping. In discotheques, earplugs are worn as party plugs to protect the eardrum from hearing damage. Hearing protection is also popular in the event industry. In general, the earplugs are suitable for all types of noise, but are particularly popular in the following areas:
Earplugs for concerts
At concerts, earplugs are worn by visitors to protect their ears from loud music. Earplugs are also indispensable for musicians and all event staff, from bartenders and security guards to journalists in the press pit and lighting technicians. With Moldex earplugs, you can hear the music at a healthy level without permanent hearing damage. The earplugs are individually packaged in a dispenser box containing 200 pieces – ideal for taking with you when needed.
Earplugs for snoring
At concerts and other events, earplugs are not only essential noise and hearing protection during the day and in the evening, but also at night in the tour bus. It's annoying when you want to sleep after a hard day but are exposed to the snoring of crew and band members. Earplugs also help against noise on trains and planes. Whether it's a snoring bandmate on the tour bus or a snoring partner in bed: use earplugs and you can sleep peacefully (again)!
How do I use earplugs correctly? - Instructions
- First, roll the earplug lengthwise back and forth using your thumb and index finger.
- Pull the ear upwards with the other hand to make it easier to insert the foam earplug into the ear.
- The plug will now expand in the ear canal. To ensure that the plug stays in the right place in the ear, hold your finger in position for about 20-30 seconds after insertion until it moulds itself to the ear canal.
- If you want to remove the earplugs from your ears, pull gently on the outer end of the earplug.
